Most patients say this treatment isn’t painful. It feels a bit like snapping a rubber band against your skin. We can apply a topical numbing cream before your treatment if you're concerned. And if needed, we may apply an ice pack after your treatment to cool and comfort skin.

What are the effects of this treatment?

It offers permanent hair reduction. It significantly reduces future hair growth in treated areas. Hair that returns will be sparse, thinner and possibly lighter. This treatment also helps improve skin texture and tone.

What skin types are allowed to undergo this treatment?

Are there specific pre-treatment and post-treatment instructions or recommendations I should be aware of?

Pre-Treatment: Avoid sun exposure, including tanning beds and sunless tanning products, for 4 weeks before and during treatments. Apply SPF 30 broad-spectrum sunscreen daily.
Refrain from shaving, plucking, waxing, threading, electrolysis, using depilatory creams, or bleaching for 4 weeks.

Post-Treatment: Gently wash twice daily with mild soap. Avoid vigorous rubbing and hot water. Avoid activities that cause flushing (e.g., sauna, hot tub, exercise) for 24 hours post-treatment. Refrain from using topical products like exfoliants or retinoids for 1 week after treatment.

When will I see results? How long do they last?

You can see results immediately after the first session - hair growth will be slower, and the hair itself will be less and thinner. By the third session, the average hair count will be reduced by as much as 80%.

How often should I get this service?

The recommended number is around 4-10 sessions, depending on the treatment area as well as your hair thickness in that treatment area. For example, patients who have lighter, fine hair will require more sessions.

The interval of sessions depends on your hair cycle - we need to make sure you’ve grown hair in the treated area by the next session. For the face, we will usually have a 4-5 week interval per session for the first 3 sessions, and 8 weeks apart thereafter. For the body, we will usually have a 6-8 week interval per session for the first 3 sessions, and 10-12 weeks apart thereafter.
